Did Shiekh Al Hilali lie about Islam?

Hello All

This is an interview by Ray Martin to Shiekh Al Hilaly (Mufti of Australia) it was a like a chance for the Shiekh to imporve his image viewd by most Australian, while I have no problem for giving him a chance to do so but to lie about the Quran to redeem himself is not going to be tolerated on my side

He was asked by Ray if Islam allows beating a wife for any reason?

Shiekh Hilaly lied and said NO WAY, while clearly 4:34 is telling us to beat the ill conduct wives who insist on the ill conduct after being advised not then abandoned in bed but they still insist on the ill conduct

Here is what I think is a proof that the Shiekh is caught red handed lying about Islam to redeem himself in front of the westerners:

I found this is revolting by him unless he really believes that 4:34 does not say to the believers to beat their ill conduct wives
