2.251 - And they defeated them with the permission of Allah, and Dawood killed Jalut, and Allah gave him the kingdom and wisdom and taught him of that which He wills. And were it not for the repelling of Allah of some of the people by others, the land would have been corrupted; but Allah is the Possessor of grace upon the worlds. 2.252 - These are the signs of Allah which We recite to you in truth; and indeed, you are one of the messengers. 2.253 - Those messengers, some of them We have preferred over others. Among them are those to whom Allah spoke, and He raised some of them in degrees. And We gave Isa son of Mariam clear proofs and supported him with the holy spirit. And if Allah had willed, those after them would not have fought each other after the clear proofs had come to them. But they disagreed, so some of them believed and some of them disbelieved. And if Allah had willed, they would not have fought, but Allah does what He wants. 2.254 - O you who have believed! Spend from what We have provided for you before a day comes on which there will be no exchange and no friendship and no intercession. And the unbelievers are the unjust. 2.255 - (He is) Allah, there is no god except Him, the Ever-Living, the Ever-Subsisting. Neither slumber overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is before them and what will be after them, and they can not encompass a thing of His knowledge except what He wills. His chair extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the High, the Great. 2.256 - There is no compulsion in the religion; indeed, the right course has become clear from wrong. So whoever disbelieves in the evil ones and believes in Allah, then he has certainly grasped the firmest handhold, no break in it. And Allah is Hearing, Knowing. 2.257 - Allah is the Guardian of those who have believed. He brings them out from darkness into the light. And those who have disbelieved, their guardians are the evil ones, they (the evil ones) take them out from the light into darkness. Those are the companions of the fire, they are therein abiding. 2.258 - Have you not seen the one who argued with Ibrahim about his Lord because Allah had given him the kingdom? When Ibrahim said: My Lord is the One Who gives life and causes death. He (the unbeliever) said: I give life and cause death. Ibrahim said: Indeed, Allah brings the sun from the east, so bring it from the west? So the one who disbelieved was bewildered; and Allah does not guide the unjust people. 2.259 - Or the like of him who passed by a village while its homes fallen into ruins. He said: How will Allah give this life after its death? So Allah caused him to die for a hundred years then resurrected him. He (Allah) said: How long have you remained? He (the man) said: I have remained a day or a part of a day. He (Allah) said: Rather, you have remained a hundred years. Look at your food and your drink, they have not changed. And look at your donkey; and We will make you a sign to the people. And look at the bones, how We set them together then cloth them with meat. And when it was obvious to him, he said: I know that Allah is over everything Capable. 2.260 - And when Ibrahim said: My Lord! Show me how You give life to the dead. He (Allah) said: Have you not believed? He (Ibrahim) said: Yes, but only so that my heart is assured. He (Allah) said: Get four from among the birds and train them to come to you. Then (after slaughtering them) place on every mountain a part of them then call them, they will come to you flying. And know that Allah is Mighty, Wise.
