These queries where asked by Old Man in the other forum, I thought this would be a better forum to discuss. Since it segregates topics and not jumbled

Thanks bro for bringing these questions to FI, I will try to answer using the Quran, however Allah knows best

Quote:
Please elaborate on the following points by using the Quraan where possible:

Sure, this is a must indeed because Satan always wants us to say things about Allah that we don????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¢t know, therefore we have to only use the Quran when we talk about Allah:

Say: My Lord has only prohibited indecencies, those of them that are apparent as well as those that are concealed, and sin and rebellion without justice, and that you associate with Allah that for which He has not sent down any authority, and that you say against Allah what you do not know.

[The Quran ; 7:33]

-> The verse starts by telling Mohammad to: ????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬???????????????????????????? Say: My Lord has only prohibited????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬????????????????????????????, clearly the word used ????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬????????Harram????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬????????????????????????????, i.e. ????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬???????? prohibited ????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬????????????????????????????, now here is what is Haram as read from this crystal clear verse:
1) ????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬???????????????????????????? الْفَوَاحِشَ مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا وَمَا بَطَنَ????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬????????????????????????????, ????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬???????????????????????????? indecencies, those of them that are apparent as well as those that are concealed????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬????????????????????????????

2) ????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬???????????????????????????? وَالإِثْمَ????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬????????????????????????????, ????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬???????????????????????????? and sin????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬????????????????????????????

3) ????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬???????????????????????????? وَالْبَغْيَ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّ????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬????????????????????????????, ????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬???????????????????????????? and rebellion without justice????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬????????????????????????????

4) ????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬???????????????????????????? وَأَن تُشْرِكُواْ بِاللّهِ مَا لَمْ يُنَزِّلْ بِهِ سُلْطَانًا????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬????????????????????????????, ????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬???????????????????????????? and that you associate with Allah that for which He has not sent down any authority????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬????????????????????????????

5) ????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬???????????????????????????? وَأَن تَقُولُواْ عَلَى اللّهِ مَا لاَ تَعْلَمُونَ????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬????????????????????????????, ????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬???????????????????????????? and that you say against Allah what you do not know.????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬????????????????????????????

As you can see from the above verse that it is HARAM to say things that we don????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¢t know against Allah, surely Satan will exploit this to command us to say things against Allah that we don????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¢t know:

168: O men! eat the lawful and good things out of what is in the earth, and do not follow the footsteps of the Shaitan; surely he is your open enemy.

169: For he commands you what is evil and shameful, and that ye should say of Allah that of which ye have no knowledge.

[The Quran ; 2:168-169]

-> Clear from the above that the Shaitan :????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬???????????????????????????? commands you what is evil and shameful, and that ye should say of Allah that of which ye have no knowledge.????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬????????????????????????????, therefore saying things we don????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¢t know about Allah will be indeed a major sin because we will be following Satan????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¢s commands

This should lead us to conclude that we can only say things about Allah that He told us about Himself in the preserved Quran, other than that anything to be said will be a conjecture and surely a submission to Satan commands.

1. Are there any mention of issues/aspects of God/Allaah outside the universe and it's events that we know?

Well, I don????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¢t fully understand the question, however according to what I managed to understand I guess Heaven are one aspect of Allah that must be outside this universe, I stated it must be something outside this universe due to the following verse:

Be ye foremost (in seeking) Forgiveness from your Lord, and a Garden (of Bliss), the width whereof is as the width of heaven and earth, prepared for those who believe in Allah and His messengers: that is the Grace of Allah, which He bestows on whom he pleases: and Allah is the Lord of Grace abounding.

[The Quran ; 57:21]

-> Clear from the above that the promised Garden has a width that is equal to the width of the current heaven and earth :????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬???????????????????????????? and a Garden (of Bliss), the width whereof is as the width of heaven and earth????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬????????????????????????????, this means that the Garden can????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¢t be in the current universe (logically speaking) otherwise there will be no room left, rather it has to be located in a totally new universe, this fact is confirmed when we read the following verse:

On the day when the earth shall be changed into a different earth, and the heavens (as well), and they shall come forth before Allah, the One, the Supreme

[The Quran ; 14:48]

-> See, ????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬???????????????????????????? On the day when the earth shall be changed into a different earth, and the heavens (as well),????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬????????????????????????????, i.e. a totally new universe, the believers should be the only group of people who will know that because they must believe Allah in anything He says WITOUT QUESTIONING HIM, He can????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¢t be questioned in regards to His actions

Quote:
2. What is Allaah's relationship with mankind presently?

I don????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¢t really know to be honest but I can conjecture that He must be angry with most humans, this conjecture will have merit if we look at the following verse:

And if the people of the towns had believed and guarded (against evil) We would certainly have opened up for them blessings from the heaven and the earth, but they rejected, so We overtook them for what they had earned.

[The Quran ; 7:96]

-> See, ????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬???????????????????????????? And if the people of the towns had believed and guarded (against evil) We would certainly have opened up for them blessings from the heaven and the earth????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬????????????????????????????, now this must be true because it was said by Allah, and if we pay closer look at all nations including the so called Muslim nations we should see clearly that most nations if not all don????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¢t receive blessings from the heaven and the earth, why?, because according to the verse above, they didn????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¢t really believe, belief is not just a claim any one will say, it is rather reflected on all the deeds done, that is why Allah ended the verse by saying :????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬???????????????????????????? We overtook them for what they had earned????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬????????????????????????????, i.e. even though they might have claimed to believe, their evil deeds that contradict their statement of believe earned them a horrible punishment, obviously Allah described them as liars, they lie when they say they believe

3. Does Allaah have a name other than "Allaah"?

Yes He does as He told us:

22: He is Allah besides Whom there is no god; the Knower of the unseen and the seen; He is the Beneficent, the Merciful

23: He is Allah, besides Whom there is no god; the King, the Holy, the Giver of peace, the Granter of security, Guardian over all, the Mighty, the Supreme, the Possessor of every greatness Glory be to Allah from what they set up (with Him).

24: He is Allah the Creator, the Maker, the Fashioner; His are the most excellent names; whatever is in the heavens and the earth declares His glory; and He is the Mighty, the Wise.

[The Quran ; 59:22-24]

-> In the above verses, Allah told us a few names He has : Allah, Al Rahmaan, Al Rahim, Al Malik, Al Qudus, Al Salam, Al Mumin, Al Mohaimin, Al Aziz, Al Jabbar, Al Mutakabbir, Al Khaleq, Al Bari, Al Musawir, Al Hakim, and he even told us that all these names belongsto Him :????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬???????????????????????????? His are the most excellent names????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬????????????????????????????

In another location He ordered us call on him by these names:

The most beautiful names belong to Allah: so call on him by them; but shun such men as use profanity in his names: for what they do, they will soon be requited.

[The Quran ; 7:180]

-> See, ????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬????????????????????????????The most beautiful names belong to Allah: so call on him by them????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬????????????????????????????

Quote:
4. According to what already was posted, I gather that Allaah, according to Islam, can't be experienced by our sensory organs (eye, nose, touch, ear, taste)?

According to Allah in the Quran and the Bible, no one have seen Allah yet, Also from the story of prophet Moses mentioned in the Quran we learn that Allah told Moses that he will not be able to see Him, that was after Moses asked Him to see Him physically, it sounds that our sight with the limitation forced on it by Allah on us in this life won????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¢t be able to see Allah, however Allah told us those who will prosper will see Him physically when they prosper:

22: (Some) faces on that day shall be bright,
23: Looking to their Lord.

[The Quran ; 75:22-23]

-> This clearly means that the limitation enforced on our eye sight in this life will be removed on the JD, in fact our eye sight then will be sharp like steel:

Certainly you were heedless of it, but now We have removed from you your veil, so your sight today is sharp.

[The Quran ; 50:22]

Indeed on the JD many things will be changed with the way we feel:

47: And We shall remove from their hearts any lurking sense of injury: (they will be) brothers (joyfully) facing each other on thrones (of dignity).

48: There no sense of fatigue shall touch them, nor shall they (ever) be asked to leave.

[The Quran ; 15:47-48]

On the other hand the losers will never see Allah, how many of them wanted to see Him before they believe?, well, on that day they will be forced to believe in Him without ever seeing Him:

15: Nay! most surely they shall on that day be debarred from their Lord.
16: Then most surely they shall enter the burning fire.
17: Then shall it be said: This is what you gave the lie to.

[The Quran ; 83:15-17]

-> See, the burning fire will make them believe without ever seeing Allah, obviously after tasting the burning fire they will believe

Quote:
5. Can and does Allaah communicate directly with humans past and present?

For the past yes, Allah has told us that He talked directly to Moses:

Of some messengers We have already told thee the story; of others We have not;- and to Moses Allah spoke direct;-

[The Quran ; 4:164]

-> Moses spoke to Allah without seeing Him, in this testing life Allah can????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¢t communicate to any one while that one seeing Him, this is a law enforced by Allah that is why Moses failed to see Him while talking to Him, this law was stated clearly by Allah:

It is not fitting for a man that Allah should speak to him except by inspiration, or from behind a veil, or by the sending of a messenger to reveal, with Allah's permission, what Allah wills: for He is Most High, Most Wise.

[The Quran ; 42:51]

-> Obviously Allah spoke to Moses :????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬???????????????????????????? from behind a veil????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬????????????????????????????, and as you can see the above verse states clearly how Allah can communicate to us:

A) ????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬????????????????????????????by inspiration????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬????????????????????????????
B) ????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬????????????????????????????from behind a veil????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬????????????????????????????
C) ????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬????????????????????????????or by the sending of a messenger to reveal????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬????????????????????????????

Quote:
6. The Bible states that Allaah is spirit. How is Allaah perceived according to the Quraan?

The Quran states that Allah has ????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬????????Ruh????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬???????????????????????????? however it also told us that there is nothing like Him:

(He is) the Creator of the heavens and the earth: He has made for you pairs from among yourselves, and pairs among cattle: by this means does He multiply you: there is nothing whatever like unto Him, and He is the One that hears and sees (all things).

[The Quran ; 42:11]

-> See, ????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬???????????????????????????? there is nothing whatever like unto Him????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬????????????????????????????

Quote:
7. Can Allaah "change" His mind or plan of action?

Never because He told us that His words or orders do not change:

Perfected is the Word of thy Lord in truth and justice. There is naught that can change His words. He is the Hearer, the Knower.

[The Quran ; 6:115]

He also told us :

And for every nation there is a doom, so when their doom is come they shall not remain behind the least while, nor shall they go before.

[The Quran ; 7:34]

The above verse was obviously proved when Ibrahim begged the Angels to spare the life of Lut people:

74: So when fear had gone away from Ibrahim and good news came to him, he began to plead with Us for Lut's people.
75: Most surely Ibrahim was forbearing, tender-hearted, oft-returning (to Allah):
76: O Abraham! Seek not this. The decree of thy Lord hath gone forth: for them there cometh a penalty that cannot be turned back!

[The Quran ; 11:74-76]

-> See, Ibrahim was pleading to spare the life of Lut people: ????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬???????????????????????????? he began to plead with Us for Lut's people.????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬????????????????????????????, Ibrahim was a very kind man : ????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬???????????????????????????? Most surely Ibrahim was forbearing, tender-hearted, oft-returning (to Allah):????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬???????????????????????????? but kindness has no value with those who rejected Allah: ????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬???????????????????????????? : O Abraham! Seek not this. The decree of thy Lord hath gone forth: for them there cometh a penalty that cannot be turned back!????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬????????????????????????????

I????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¢m sure there are many more examples in the Quran which confirm that Allah decrees or words do not change, that is why I don????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¢t accept the hadith of the 50 Salat going down to 5, because according to the above and other verses, the Salat was ordered 5 by Allah from the first place.

Quote:
8. Is it possible for Allaah to have emotions such as jealousy, hate, anger, love, etc.?

The Quran told us that Allah hates:

If they had intended to come out, they would certainly have made some preparation therefor; but Allah was averse to their being sent forth; so He made them lag behind, and they were told, "Sit ye among those who sit (inactive).

[The Quran ; 9:46]

The Quran also told us that Allah loves:

And Allah gave them a reward in this world, and the excellent reward of the Hereafter. For Allah Loveth those who do good.

[The Quran ; 3:148]

Also we learn from the Quran that Allah can be angry and can curse:

And whoever kills a believer intentionally, his punishment is hell; he shall abide in it, and Allah will send His wrath on him and curse him and prepare for him a painful chastisement.

[The Quran ; 4:93]

For the Jealousy, I have never read in the Quran that Allah can be jealous, this actually makes great sense because jealous of what exactly if He is the creator of everything?, i.e. everything is nothing but a slave to Him:

93: There is no one in the heavens and the earth but will come to the Beneficent Allah as a servant.
94: Certainly He has a comprehensive knowledge of them and He has numbered them a (comprehensive) numbering.

[The Quran ; 19:93-94]

-> See, every slave has a number, LOL, I don????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¢t think a creator will be jealous of any of his slaves, it just does not make sense and that is why we never read such description about Allah in His Quran.

Quote:
9. Will/can Allaah interfere with the universe's scientific laws on request by a follower?

Strange question really, firstly I need to be given a few examples of these universe scientific laws

Quote:
10. Does Allaah answer prayer?

The prayer is compulsory and the believers will be punished if they don????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¢t do it, therefore I????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¢m not sure if the prayer falls under the category of answering, but if we talk ????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬????????Dawa,????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬???????????????????????????? sort of to wish something from Allah to happen to you, then yes He answers that, exactly as He told us:

And when My servants ask you concerning Me, then surely I am very near; I answer the Dawa of the suppliant when he calls on Me, so they should answer My call and believe in Me that they may walk in the right way.

[The Quran ; 2:186]

-> Most likely the Dawa is performed during Salat, however what will be answered is the Dawa not the Salat, many translators translated the above verse wrong when they translated the Arabic word ????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬????????Dawa????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬???????????????????????????? ????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬???????????????????????????? دَعْوَةَ????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬???????????????????????????? as ????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬????????Prayer????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬????????????????????????????, unless prayer does not mean Salat then I may accept that Prayer means ????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬????????Dawa????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬????????????????????????????, and Dawa in Arabic means when you wish something to happen or to gain

-> What is worth noting in this great verse that when Allah said to Mohammad :????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬???????????????????????????? And when My servants ask you concerning Me????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬????????????????????????????, Allah never told Mohammad to SAY as He did in all other locations regarding questions to Mohammad that were not about Allah, in here when they asked Mohammad about Allah, Allah took the stand and spoke for Himself without saying the word SAY to Mohammad :????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬???????????????????????????? then surely I am very near; I answer the Dawa of the suppliant when he calls on Me, so they should answer My call and believe in Me that they may walk in the right way.????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬????????????????????????????

-> Let????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¢s look at an example where a question was raised to Mohammad but was not concerning Allah:

And they ask you about the mountains. Say: My Lord will carry them away from the roots.

[The Quran ; 20:105]

-> See, when the question was about the mountains Allah ordered Mohammad to :????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬???????????????????????????? Say: My Lord will carry them away from the roots.????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬????????????????????????????

This is great stuff brothers and sisters, when the question is not about Allah, Mohammad was ordered to say, but when it was about Allah, Allah took the stand and talked for Himself, let????????????????????????????¢?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¬?????????????????????¢??????????????????????¢s look at a triple example from sura no. 2:

219: They ask you about intoxicants and games of chance. Say: In both of them there is a great sin and means of profit for men, and their sin is greater than their profit. And they ask you as to what they should spend. Say: What you can spare. Thus does Allah make clear to you the communications, that you may ponder

220: On this world and the hereafter. And they ask you concerning the orphans Say: To set right for them (their affairs) is good, and if you become co-partners with them, they are your brethren; and Allah knows the mischief-maker and the pacemaker, and if Allah had pleased, He would certainly have caused you to fall into a difficulty; surely Allah is Mighty, Wise.

222: And they ask you about menstruation. Say: It is a discomfort; therefore keep aloof from the women during the menstrual discharge and do not go near them until they have become clean; then when they have cleansed themselves, go in to them as Allah has commanded you; surely Allah loves those who turn much (to Him), and He loves those who purify themselves.

[The Quran ; 2:219-220,222]
